DEPARTMENTS AND DIVISIONS OF THE CENTRE
There are a Scientific Council, a Training methodology division, a library, a publishing division, five departments, specialized rooms, computer and test rooms and conference halls in the Center.
SCIENTIFIC COUNCIL OF THE CENTER
The Scientific Council solves important issues relating to the training process, including retraining, training of lawyers on the basis of modern pedagogical technologies, computerization, discusses issues of training methods, scientific research, spirituality and education, training issues of law professors.
The Council considers the issues on development of textbooks, training manuals, literature on scientific and training methodologies and their publication. In addition, the Council carries out approbation and assessment of candidate and doctorate dissertations in law specialties. Annually it provides expert conclusions for more than 30 doctorate and candidate dissertations.
TRAINING AND METHODICAL DIVISION
The division takes measure for provision of the continuity of the training process, for conducting it on the basis of leading achievements of science, scientific pedagogical technologies and training techniques, improvement of final testing and examination, preparation of certificates, information and other documents for trainees, making reports on fulfillment of training workloads of the departments, maintaining and preparation of the rooms for training, improvement of the quality of the training process in the Center.
LIBRARY OF THE CENTER
The library of the Center is composed of books funds hall and a reading hall. The reading hall is light and comfortable equipped with computers. It houses simultaneously more than fifty readers.
The books fund of the library has more than five thousand books in Uzbek and Russian languages in such areas of law as constitutional law, criminal and criminal procedural law, civil and civil procedural law, economical and economical procedural law, international law, human rights, basics of sate and law, labor law, administrative law, tax and customs law, comments on laws and Codes of the Republic of Uzbekistan, women’s rights and gender equality, collections of new laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan, manuals, journals and new brochures on the rights of legal and physical entities.
In addition, the library regularly receives newspapers and journals which cover the news in the sphere of political, economical, social, judicial-legal, cultural and spiritual life of the county.
Besides, there are books in the library on different gianres, including legal, social, spiritual, historical literature and fiction.
Library users are: law professors and teashers of the Center, its technical staff, participants of training course, including new judges, court clerks, bailiffs, notaries, employees of social status register offices, employees of justice organs, advocates, juris consultants of companies and ventures as well as nominees for judgeship.
PUBLISHING DIVISION OF THE CENTER
There is a publishing division in the Centre. It is equipped with a mini publishing machine. It publishes teaching curricula and training manuals, lecture collections developed by the professors and teachers for participants of training courses of the Centre. It has already published more than 20 training curricula, including special training courses curricula on Decrees and Resolutions of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan directed to further improvement of entrepreneurs’ activity, strengthening of the guarantees of entrepreneurs’ rights and interests in our country (June 14, 15, 20, 2005), “On abolishment of death penalty in the Republic of Uzbekistan” (August 1, 2005), “On transfer of the authority to issue arrest warrants to courts” (August 8, 2005), training curriculum on the problems of constitution law, criminal and criminal procedural law, civil and civil procedural law, economical and economical procedural law, international law, human rights, basics of state and law, labor law, administrative law, tax and customs law, commercial and business law, international standards of human rights to justice, international public claw, international humanitarian law and etc. Each professor or teacher may publish his/her training manuals, teaching textbooks, research works and lecture materials in the Center. For this these works must be, first, discussed and approved in the Scientific Council of the Center.
